Product Details

Blueline tilefish. Deep rocky bottom at 300 to 800 feet — cousin to the golden tilefish but with its own distinct character. Hook and line caught in Gulf waters. Less well-known commercially, which means it rarely makes it to the retail market. We carry it because the eating quality earns it. Processed and vacuum sealed within days of landing. Frozen at -5°F. Frozen Fresh.

Flavor & Texture

White, firm flesh with a mild, slightly sweet flavor — closer in profile to snapper than its tilefish relatives. Cleaner and lighter than golden tilefish, with a finer flake. Excellent for pan preparations, ceviche, and light sauces. One of the more underrated fish in the Gulf.

Health Benefits

Blueline tilefish is a lean, high-protein fish — approximately 20g protein per 3 oz serving. Good source of omega-3 fatty acids, selenium, and B vitamins. Naturally low in fat and calories. A nutritionally clean fish from nutrient-rich deep water.

What You Receive

Wild caught blueline tilefish, vacuum sealed in 6 oz individual fillets. Sourced from U.S. Gulf waters. Sold by the 6 oz package. Packages are 5–6 oz and may vary slightly. Fillets come skin off and deboned.

Why Frozen Is Actually Fresher

Frozen Within 2–3 Days

Most grocery store fish is 7–10 days old before it hits the counter. Ours is processed and frozen within 2–3 days of landing.

Locks In Nutrition

Flash freezing preserves the omega-3s, protein, and flavor that degrade in fresh fish over time.

Better Than “Fresh”

In seafood, “fresh” often means never frozen but days old. Frozen right means genuinely fresh.
