Wild Caught · Gulf Coast USA · Frozen Fresh
$16.88 / per package (6oz)
Product Details
Golden tilefish. One of the Gulf's most prized and least-known fish. Golden tilefish burrow in clay bottom at 600 to 1,500 feet depth — a unique habitat that shapes everything about how they eat and taste. Federally managed under IFQ quota, caught hook and line by commercial captains working the Gulf's outer shelf. Processed and vacuum sealed within days of landing. Frozen at -5°F. Frozen Fresh.
Flavor & Texture
Firm, snow-white flesh with a distinctly sweet, shellfish-forward flavor — a direct reflection of the crabs and shrimp in its diet. Often compared to lobster or crab in richness without the cost. Excellent pan-seared, roasted whole, or served simply with butter and lemon.
Health Benefits
Golden tilefish is a lean protein powerhouse — approximately 22g protein per 3 oz serving. Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, selenium, magnesium, and B12. Low in saturated fat. The selenium content in particular makes it one of the more nutritionally complete fish available.
What You Receive
Wild caught golden tilefish, vacuum sealed in 6 oz individual fillets. Sourced from federally managed U.S. Gulf waters, IFQ quota controlled. Sold by the 6 oz package. Packages are 5–6 oz and may vary slightly. Fillets come skin off and deboned.
Why Frozen Is Actually Fresher
Frozen Within 2–3 Days
Most grocery store fish is 7–10 days old before it hits the counter. Ours is processed and frozen within 2–3 days of landing.
Locks In Nutrition
Flash freezing preserves the omega-3s, protein, and flavor that degrade in fresh fish over time.
Better Than “Fresh”
In seafood, “fresh” often means never frozen but days old. Frozen right means genuinely fresh.
