Product Details

Mangrove snapper. Also known as gray snapper — one of the most abundant and widely distributed snapper species in the Gulf. Found from nearshore structure to deep offshore reef, caught hook and line throughout Gulf waters. A fish that's been on Gulf tables for generations. Processed and vacuum sealed within days of landing. Frozen at -5°F. Frozen Fresh.

Flavor & Texture

Firm, mild white flesh with a clean, slightly sweet flavor. More texture than yellowtail, slightly bolder than lane snapper. Versatile across preparations — holds up well on the grill, excellent pan-seared, good in a ceviche. A reliable eating fish that earns its spot at the table.

Health Benefits

Mangrove snapper is a lean protein source — approximately 20g protein per 3 oz serving. Good source of omega-3 fatty acids, potassium, selenium, and B12. Low in saturated fat and calories. A clean, complete protein from Gulf reef and nearshore structure.

What You Receive

Wild caught mangrove snapper, vacuum sealed in 6 oz individual fillets. Sourced from U.S. Gulf waters. Sold by the 6 oz package. Packages are 5–6 oz and may vary slightly. All fillets come scaled with skin on and deboned.

Why Frozen Is Actually Fresher

Frozen Within 2–3 Days

Most grocery store fish is 7–10 days old before it hits the counter. Ours is processed and frozen within 2–3 days of landing.

Locks In Nutrition

Flash freezing preserves the omega-3s, protein, and flavor that degrade in fresh fish over time.

Better Than “Fresh”

In seafood, “fresh” often means never frozen but days old. Frozen right means genuinely fresh.
