Product Details
Whole vermilion snapper. A federally managed reef species caught hook and line in Gulf waters — vivid red coloring, clean and consistent. Gutted and scaled at the fish house, vacuum sealed within days of landing. Frozen at -5°F. Frozen Fresh.
Flavor & Texture
Mild, slightly sweet white flesh with a delicate, fine flake. Smaller in size but consistent in quality. Excellent pan-fried whole — the skin crisps cleanly, the flesh stays moist. A clean fish that responds well to citrus and light preparations.
Why Whole
Vermilion snapper at this size is made for the pan. Light enough to cook through quickly, firm enough to handle high heat, and it makes a striking plate. One fish per serving is the right call.
What You Receive

Common Questions
How is it sold?
Whole fish are sold by weight band, so you pick the size range that fits your table. Actual weight varies slightly within the range you choose.
How does it come cleaned?
Every whole fish comes gutted, scaled, and vacuum-sealed — ready to grill, roast, or fillet at home.
How long can I keep it in my freezer?
For the best quality, we suggest eating within 6 months of purchase. That said, our fish holds excellent quality out to 12 months.
After 12 months it's still safe to eat, but the quality starts to degrade.
Is there a discount for buying in bulk?
Yes. One of the best parts of buying frozen is that it lets you stock your freezer.
Orders over $200 — use code GM200 for 10% off your entire order. Orders over $400 — use code GM400 for 15% off your entire order.
Why Frozen Is Actually Fresher
Frozen Within 48 Hours
Most grocery store fish is 7–10 days old before it hits the counter. Ours is processed and frozen within 48 hours of the fish hitting the dock.
Locks In Nutrition
Flash freezing preserves the omega-3s, protein, and flavor that degrade in fresh fish over time.
Better Than “Fresh”
In seafood, “fresh” often means never frozen but days old. Frozen right means genuinely fresh.
