Product Details

Yellowedge grouper. A deep-water IFQ species — caught below 200 feet on hard bottom and rocky ledge structure in federally managed Gulf waters. Quota-controlled, sustainably harvested, and rarely available outside of specialty markets. Our captains target it specifically because the eating quality is that good. Processed and vacuum sealed within days of landing. Frozen at -5°F. Frozen Fresh.

Flavor & Texture

Firm white flesh with a flavor profile slightly sweeter than red grouper — a cleaner, more refined eating experience. The deep-water habitat and cold-water diet make the difference. Versatile across preparations, outstanding kept simple.

Health Benefits

Yellowedge grouper is a lean, complete protein — approximately 21g protein per 3 oz serving. Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, potassium, selenium, and B vitamins. Low in fat and calories, making it an excellent daily protein source.

What You Receive

Wild caught yellowedge grouper, vacuum sealed in 6 oz individual fillets. Sourced from federally managed U.S. Gulf waters, IFQ quota controlled. Sold by the 6 oz package. Packages are 5–6 oz and may vary slightly. Fillets come skin off and deboned.

Why Frozen Is Actually Fresher

Frozen Within 2–3 Days

Most grocery store fish is 7–10 days old before it hits the counter. Ours is processed and frozen within 2–3 days of landing.

Locks In Nutrition

Flash freezing preserves the omega-3s, protein, and flavor that degrade in fresh fish over time.

Better Than “Fresh”

In seafood, “fresh” often means never frozen but days old. Frozen right means genuinely fresh.
